This is the FD1, our most complete Originals fairway driver!

The FD1 is a brand new disc to our Originals disc line and it’s designed to fill the gap between our two icons FD and FD3. Stable flight with dependable fade in the end is a true combo for accuracy when you want to hit the fairways.

It will have some similarities to that of a C-line FD when you pick it up but the glide has been stepped down a notch and low speed fade added as well to add more stability for windy situations and accuracy. Players will fall in love with the FD1's relatively flat profile and smooth release on backhand and sidearm shots.

FD1 has a very high tolerance for speed and torque, meaning it can be thrown hard and is able to push forward on a straight and consistent flight path while finishing with a soft bite at the end. It’s got enough overstability to handle plenty of wind, forced turnover shots, and a wide variety of powerful shot shaping angles while maintaining a more throwable feel like a less stable disc normally would. You can rely on it to get you out of trouble, navigate tricky fairways, and conquer all conditions on any given day.

Good for: Straight fairway shots, Hyzer shots, flex shots, sidearm shots, windy days, advanced and pro players alike.

Product detailed description

Disc type:

Fairway drivers = discs which are used for controllable long throws. Ideal for beginners, who want to start with driving. We recommend the fairway driver as your third disc - after you learn how to throw with a putter and midrange.

Plastic type:

C-line plastic is the most durable plastic by Discmania – these discs wear down very slowly. C-Line discs retain original flight characteristics for an extended period of time. Whether used in heavily wooded situations, or on extremely rugged courses, the C-Line plastic will continue to perform predictably and avoid damage better than any other plastic. Good grip and showstopper see-through look. Typically the most stable blend of plastic in our line.
